A personalised Diwali gift ordered on 21 October is the last one that a seller quoting 14 days can get to your door by Wednesday 4 November. Today is 12 October, so that leaves 9 days.
That 14 is the longest turnaround we found when we read the shipping policies and product pages of three personalised-gift sellers on GiftScene on 12 October 2026. Crafting Tale states 8 to 14 days from order to delivery for a house nameplate. The Zappy Box dispatches in 1 to 2 working days, then needs 4 to 7 working days in transit. OyeHappy says it despatches within 24 hours of payment. Lakshmi Puja is on Sunday 8 November 2026, and gifts land best two to four days early, so we count back from the 4th.
Personalised gifts need the longest lead time of any Diwali gift, and for most sellers the last safe order date falls between 19 and 23 October.
The order-by dates, seller by seller
The dates in the last column are our own arithmetic from each seller's stated time, counting back from Wednesday 4 November.
| Seller and item | What you send | Stated time | Order by |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Zappy Box, frames and keyrings | One photo or a short name | Dispatch 1 to 2 working days, delivery 4 to 7 | 22 Oct (typical), 19 Oct (if delayed) |
| The Zappy Box, metro express | Same | Dispatch 1 to 2 working days, delivery 2 to 4 | 26 Oct |
| Crafting Tale, house nameplate | Names, house number, family size | 8 to 14 days including delivery | 21 Oct |
| Crafting Tale, miniature frame | One main photo, 4 to 8 more, hobbies | 7 to 12 days including delivery | 23 Oct |
| OyeHappy | Varies by product | Despatch within 24 hours of payment | Delivery date not stated per product |
Working days exclude weekends. The Zappy Box says it does not ship or deliver on weekends or holidays, and warns that festive demand can add 2 to 3 days to processing, which is where the 19 October date comes from. Treat every date in the table as the latest, not the safe one.
What the sellers ask you to send
The photo is where days get lost. A seller cannot start until it arrives, and some wait for your approval before they ship. Crafting Tale says it begins crafting only after it receives an order, and ships 24 to 48 hours after you approve the finished piece. Each day you take to reply comes out of the same 8 to 14.
The specifications are strict, and worth checking before you order. The Zappy Box pet frame takes one photo, as a JPG or JPEG under 5 MB, and a pet name of under 12 characters. Its Polaroid magnet frame takes one photo at 3 by 2 inches and no text at all. Crafting Tale's nameplate asks for the names, the house number and a family size of 2 to 6, sent by email. Its miniature frame wants one full-length main photo, 4 to 8 others and a note on the recipient's hobbies. Each of these limits comes from the seller's own product page, read on 12 October, and a seller can change them at any time.
Have the photo ready before you order.
Crafting Tale's frame, nameplate, magnet and miniature pages all showed sold out on 12 October, so we have kept its timelines in the table as a guide to how long handmade work takes, and have not shown its products. Ask before you pay.
What is worth personalising
We think a name on something used every day beats a photo on something that sits on a shelf. Our study of 4,125 Reddit posts on gifting points the same way: custom and practical together won, with personalised pens, engraved bottles and monogrammed notebooks all praised.
- Daily use: personalised keyrings and notebooks.
- Home: name plates and photo frames.
- For a pet owner: a custom pet portrait.
If you are late, or buying in bulk
OyeHappy's 24-hour despatch is the fastest we found, though it does not say which products can be personalised, so confirm that on the product page. For a larger order, The Zappy Box says festive hampers need 7 to 10 days and corporate or bulk orders a 2 to 3 week window. For a 4 November delivery, that means ordering between 14 and 21 October. Our Diwali hampers guide and corporate gifting page cover those orders, and employee gifts by budget covers the spend.

When should I order a personalised Diwali gift?
By 19 to 23 October for delivery on 4 November, depending on the seller. The longest stated turnaround we found was 14 days, which means 21 October.
Can a personalised gift arrive in under a week?
Only with express delivery. The Zappy Box states 1 to 2 working days to dispatch and 2 to 4 working days for metros and tier 1 cities, which is 3 to 6 working days in all.
Will I get a refund if it arrives late?
Not necessarily. The Zappy Box says it will not refund delays caused by logistical factors and names festive demand as a cause of delay.
Method: we read each seller's own shipping policy and product pages on 12 October 2026 and used only the days they state. Order-by dates are our arithmetic, counted back from 4 November, which we chose as two to four days before Lakshmi Puja. We did not place any orders, so actual delivery times may differ. Prices and stock change; confirm both on the seller's page.
