- Get the size right first. Indian bangle sizes are written 2.2, 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 and 2.10: 2 inches plus sixteenths of an inch across the inside, so 2.4 is about 57 mm and 2.6 about 60 mm.
- The easiest way to know hers: borrow a bangle she already wears and measure straight across the inside.
- A bangle has to slip over the widest part of the hand, not just fit the wrist, so one that feels loose on the wrist is often the right size.
- Match it to the occasion: glass and lac for festivals and weddings, metal or jelly for every day.
